Hello, welcome to the Catholic High School Students' Council blog.

The Student Council occupies a central position in representing the student body. Student Councillors are appointed by the school administration to assist the school in promoting the well-being of the students.

Student Councillors demonstrate good character and conduct, have good academic results and possess leadership qualities. They serve as role models for the students and are given substantial autonomy in managing student affairs. They also assist in hosting visitors to the school as well as organizing major school events such as Sec One Orientation, Teachers' Day Celebrations, Sec Four Graduation Night, Student Leaders' Investiture, etc.

Hey councillors,

Tomorrow's meeting, 1st June (Monday), is postponed to 3rd June (Wednesday). However, the reporting time (9am) and venue (@ SLB Room) still remains the same.

For those who cannot make it, please write an excuse letter to Joel and pass it to him during the following meeting.

There will be a meeting on Monday , 1st June 2009 at 9am in the SLB room. Please bring along all relevant documents (Hardcopy) and BE PUNCTUAL. Those who are not able to make it for the meeting, an excuse letter is required to be submitted to the excos.

There will be (the usual) Wednesday morning meeting tomorrow, 7.00am at Special Room 3C. Please be punctual. Attendance is COMPULSORY.

Reminder:
If you are unable to attend any meeting, write an excuse letter, and please take note that the excuse letter should be attn. like this:

(Name), (Personnel-In-Charge of Meeting/Session/Event)

And attn. all excuse letters to Joel, like this:
"To: Joel Chien, Secretary of the Students' Council 2009 - 2010" and not simply "Joel".

We stress on this point once again - look through your council file thoroughly. Follow strictly to all the formats for any documents stated in your file. Especially so when you submit your proposals.

There will be a short meeting tomorrow after school at 2.45pm. The meeting will be held in the usual classroom, Special Room 3C. Please bring along your council file. As this is rather last minute, please spread the announcement to the other councillors too.

Congrats on investiture being a success! You guys have worked hard for it. Hope you guys had enjoyed the invest as much as we did!

Anyway, this announcement goes out to all councillors and the new EXCOs - please meet Miss Tan at the back of the plaza tomorrow (Friday, 22 May) after morning assembly.
