Hello, welcome to the Catholic High School Students' Council blog.

The Student Council occupies a central position in representing the student body. Student Councillors are appointed by the school administration to assist the school in promoting the well-being of the students.

Student Councillors demonstrate good character and conduct, have good academic results and possess leadership qualities. They serve as role models for the students and are given substantial autonomy in managing student affairs. They also assist in hosting visitors to the school as well as organizing major school events such as Sec One Orientation, Teachers' Day Celebrations, Sec Four Graduation Night, Student Leaders' Investiture, etc.

Anyone that fails to do so will receive a demerit letter. If you are unable to do your duty, please do a SWAP with someone else, and NOT request someone to TAKE OVER you.

As the school's homecoming day has been postponed due to the H1N1 situation, the workday scheduled on 27 June, Saturday, will also be postponed until further notice.

Details for the postponed workday is still unconfirmed, so do check the blog regularly for any updates.

There will be a meeting tomorrow, Monday, same time (9am) and venue (SLB Room). Please bring along all finalised documents and proposals. Also, do bring along $20 if you have not paid for the council tee.

There will be a meeting on Monday , 8th June 2009 at 9am in the SLB room. Please bring along all relevant documents (Hardcopy) and BE PUNCTUAL. Those who are not able to make it for the meeting, an excuse letter is required to be submitted to the excos during the following meeting.

Please take note that this roster will officially start on the 1st day of term 3.

Councillors on duty must remember that if he cannot make it for their duty, they must switch with another councillor few days in advace and tell marcus.

To make it easier, you can choose to switch shifts with the other councillor of the same day but different weeks.

Eg. Zhongliang may switch with Yishen if he is unable to make it for that specific wednesday of the odd week due to reasons.

Remember to...

• Be on time and CLEAN UP at the end of the day.

• Return the cash box and keys to Mr Tan Jit Huih after locking up. NO ONE is to take these items home.

• Fans and lights should be off after locking up.

If we find that you do not follow the rules promptly, a demerit letter will be issued.
